RELEASE

Release and News!

For some, today is a holiday. Specifically, in the states, it is Memorial Day. Originally called Decoration Day, it is a day of remembrance to commemorate men and women who died while in the military service.

It is also the end of or near the end of school term for many. In anticipation of completing finals and beginning the summer, we have a couple of presents today. We are completing two projects! YAAY!!!!

We also have some news regarding dropped projects, handing off a project, and projects in need of translators, so please read on....

DROPPING

We are going to be dropping the following projects. We don't want them to keep languishing in our 'current' list, when we have not been able to acquire the high quality raws and don't have enough staff to work them. By dropping these projects, perhaps another team may be able to release them.

Saikyou Souri
Kyokutou Love Mission
Koisuru Nigyou
Power Game vol 2
Jadou
Konbini
Boku to Oresama - note that this was a joint with Yasca

TRANSFERRING

The lovely Forgotten Gem Box has requested Dousei Ai. FGB has a strong interest in scanlating this project. We are fans of FGB's past releases *much love for New York New York* and believe that Dousei Ai will receive the attention it deserves from them. So please drop by FGB's livejournal community and check them out. Be sure to leave some feedback there as well.

NEED TRANSLATORS/ADDLS

We have several projects that need full translations, and even more that need additionals. Additional translation means filling in the sfx, the names of the characters, and possibly any missing or confusing lines. Additional translations do NOT translate a full volume. Please take a look at these projects in our current project list

Titles requiring full translation from Japanese
Vampire Requiem
Hohoemi no Housoku
Otonosama Gorankou ch 8-10, with addls for ch 6-7
Tarantula ch 4

Titles requiring additional Japanese translation for existing scripts
Heroic Egoist ch 2-4
Freezing Flame
Mousukoshi yoru ga nagakereba ch 4-6
Otogi no Kuni no Shucchou Host ch 5+
Moumoku Guidance ch 4-5

Titles requiring additional Chinese translation

LOOKING FOR RAWS/WILLING TO JOINT
Orette Tenshi - we have scripts for this one that need addls
Boku no Jintai Jikken - we have scripts for this one that need addls
Eyed Soul vol 3+ - we already have a translator for this project

RELEASE
Mesai Tengoku ch 5 - This completes this project, as we will not be doing the sequel
Replicant no Kiss extra - This completes this project

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!!!

Today we bring you a long awaited chapter 10 of volume 3 of Yononaka wa bokura ni amai! We're glad we were able to finally get this chapter release-ready.

We are considering dropping this project, though. There is another team that decided to continue the series. Though they did eventually contact us after releasing their chapter, it's too bad they didn't email us beforehand because we could have considered working on it in a joint capacity.

It was also a little disheartening to read some of the comments left at that scanlator's website. Yes, we are slow. Yes, perhaps we have too many projects. But, we like to think we produce quality work. And we're constantly asking for people to join us so that we might have more workers to help release faster.

But no matter what, we do this in our spare time and don't ask for donations. We'd rather you buy the original book and support the manga-ka. And we have our own lives. We're not going to stress ourselves out trying to hurry up and put out chapters.

So, do let us know what your thoughts are regarding this particular project. Keep it or drop it since another team has picked it up? If we keep it, we need translators to join our team. We have no strict deadlines, so if you'd like to try it out and you have some comfort with your translating skills, please consider applying.

In other news, we are dropping Yarouze. MangaOne has apparently picked up that series and released the first chapter already. Though it would have been nice if they had, at least, emailed us that they were going to pick up that project, considering Yarouze has been on our current project list for awhile, at least we had not yet invested too much in it. Therefore, it's not a loss to us work-wise and we can, instead, redirect those energies into some of our other projects. MangaOne has done a great job with their projects. So, be sure to stop by MangaOne's channel on mIRC and thank them for their hard work on chapter 1 of Yarouze.

Until next time, stay healthy

Come get it on IRC or in the member downloads section.

Happy Anniversary to Fushichou!

Today, Fushichou celebrates our 6th anniversary!!!! Yay to us *throws confetti and blows noisemakers* It's hard to believe it's been so long. We've managed to survive many ups and downs throughout the years. Of course, we wouldn't have lasted this long if it hadn't been for the AWESOME staff we've had over the years. This anniversary is as much a celebration of the staff, both past and present, as it is for Fushichou. We salute all the scanners, translators, editors, proofers, QCers, and coordinators that have ever worked for this team.

It's also a bittersweet day as we say goodbye to the founder and owner of Fushichou. Mahyla is officially retiring from the team today. Six years ago, she had a vision and started this team. There were many times where, despite the odds, her sheer willpower kept this little ship afloat. If it weren't for all her tireless effort and hard work, Fushichou wouldn't exist today. So, we salute you, Mahyla! You will be missed by us all, and we wish you the very best of luck in all your future endeavors!!!!

So what is the future of the team? It is our goal to at least attempt to finish most of our current projects. We can't do that without help from translators, so if you are an interested party who can translate Japanese, please see our recruiting note below.

And to all the fans who have supported us, we have goodies to throw at you today. So, come share the fire within team Fushichou!!!!! And remember that comments are love!

REMINDER - Fushichou releases are for adults only. You must be of legal age within your community/country to download and view these scanlations. Do not share Fushichou works within other forums or communities, especially if those communities/forums do not have age restrictions on membership.

TODAY'S RELEASES
Deep Black ch 5, 6 & extra - completes this project
Melty Honey ch 4, 5
Meisai Tengoku ch 4
Replicant no Kiss ch 5

RECRUITING
Translators - Like other teams, we need Japanese translators to help with some of our current projects, especially additionals (i.e. translating names, sfx, and the occasional questionable line). We have no strict deadlines, so don't worry about that. If you need to take a few months to translate a chapter, due to real life obligations, that's totally cool. All we ask is that you have some experience translating, and that you stay in touch with us (don't just disappear).

We are also seeking a Chinese translator to help with additional translating of our project Kizu, which has both Chn and Jpn within the book.

Sweet for the Sweets on Valentine's Day

Wishing a happy Valentine's Day to everyone! May you receive lots of chocolate and bishie goodness

For today, we have a new chapter of one of the projects we adopted from the lovely Hochuuami. We miss them and hope they are well.

Release
Kyokutou Love Mission ch 2

Want to see the remaining chapters of Kyokutou Love Mission or some of our other projects? Do you read Japanese? Then consider joining our team. We're very laid back with no strict deadlines. Need to take a few months to translate a chapter? No problem. All we ask is that you hang in there with us and stay in touch periodically.

Or, if you don't want to work on a full project, but would rather dabble and practice your Japanese? Then why not join us as an additionals translator - someone who takes a mostly translated script and fills in the sound effects and character names, or maybe checks an uncertain line or two? We have a lot of scripts piled up just waiting for those final touches.

In the meantime, enjoy today's release and keep your fingers crossed that we don't have to drop it. Come by the #fuso IRC channel to get the release immediately and say hi! Links will be up in the member download section later this evening.

Team Fushichou wishes you all the best this holiday season!!

We especially want to thank our lovely editor Alienne. Without her, we wouldn't have near the number of releases to give you today. She has only been with our team a few months, yet she has finished off three of our long standing projects!!!! And she really worked hard to get these last three chapters of Jouzetsu na Shichakushitsu ready in time for Christmas!! Alienne, hunny, you are the absolute best!!!!!

Today's gifts:
Jouzetsu na Shichakushitsu ch 3, 4, 5, and extra
Mousukoshi yoru ga nagakereba ch 3
Secretly Here ch 2

Come see us in the IRC channel (#fuso@irc.irchighway.net), those of you who can. And don't forget to leave the team some comments. We love to hear from you. With over 8000 members on this website, we're hopeful to receive a lot of feedback for the hardwork we put into these releases!

Always recruiting! We're especially in need of Japanese translators/addls translators. If you've always wanted to join a team, but been afraid of deadlines because of your hectic real life schedule, then consider giving our team a try. We are very laid back and don't impose any strict deadlines. If you're interested, please email us at fushichoumanga@gmail.com for a test.

Have a very Merry Christmas!!!!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Well, we almost delivered a trick instead of a treat. I can only blame myself, since I was out doing the door-to-door thing with the kids. Then, I collected one half of the booty for myself. It took a while to come down from my sugar high. lol

But enough of the chit-chat, on with the treats!

RELEASE
Secretly Here ch 1 - because what would Halloween be without vampires!! Yum!
Otonosama Gorankou ch 5 - because a sugar high isn't complete with out a visit with our crazy Shinobi and his master!

Enjoy! And remember, we're always looking for new staff. We ESPECIALLY need some addls translators to finish out some incomplete scripts.

Download links available now! IRC links should be available tomorrow.
hope Mahyla forgives me ^ ^;

Release!

Well we come to the last day of September. Where the heck did the year go? Wasn't it just the beginning of summer yesterday? Time is flying by at a blur these days. Or maybe I'm just getting older..... *feels creak in bones*

RECRUITING
Know some Japanese/Chinese and want to practice your English? *grins* We're looking for translators to join us. We're especially in need of Jpn Additionals Translators - someone to take a mostly translated script and fill in the blanks (usually sound effects and proper names, though occasionally a missed bubble or a double-check of something). There's quite a few scripts piled up just waiting for additionals to be filled in.

We're also looking for editors! Got some photoshop skillz you're dying to show off? Why not give us a try. You'll need to have some experience already, as we no longer have the time to train people, but there's a bunch of fantastic 'how to' guides available on the net. We love the one available via Storm In Heaven's webbie. It's friggin awesome!

We're a very laid back team, no stringent deadlines, working at a relaxed pace that fits with our very hectic real lives. If you're interested, please email us at fushichoumanga@gmail.com for a test.

RELEASES
Today we're releasing the end of Skip Kiss! OMG what a cursed project. This chapter alone went through 3 editors before the first page even got cleaned!! We thought it was doomed to oblivion. But Alienne stepped up to the plate and got it done! She rocks the world, I tell ya! She deserves cookies. With chocolate chunks. And chocolate dipping sauce. And a side serving of ice cream. With brandy butter sauce and cool whip on top. *droooooooooooooools*

Er...where was I? Oh yes! The chapter release today completes Skip Kiss. We're so glad to finally be able to move that nightma..uh....project to the completed category.

But that's not all folks, oh no. We've got a lovely Kaen release for you today! So let's check in with the lovely men of Otogi no Kuni no Shucchou Host. If you thought chapter 1 had lots of fluid, get a load of chapter 2. No pun intended. Well, it is Kaen, after all.

We're also saying goodbye to one of our beloved Chinese translators. She's going on hiatus for a year so she can muster through her advanced degree program! Join us in wishing her the best of luck! Hopefully she'll be able to come back to us when she finishes. On a positive note, one of our awesome Japanese translators, who had similarly been on hiatus while working on an advanced degree, has been able to return to us part-time. *rubs all over her and purrs*

Come visit us in the channel to get the chapters for today. Links for Otogi no Kuni no Shucchou Host are up in the members download section. Skip Kiss is shota, and is only available from Fushichou via the IRC channel.

Enjoy today's releases and don't forget to leave some feedback for our hardworking staff.

Release and the answer to the question 'What the heck happened?'

[What the heck had happened to fushi?]
As most of you noticed for sure, Fushichou's webby had a longer downtime of several weeks. The problem was that I ran out of money. I had several unexpected issues that made me spend money on that and then have not the money to pay the renewal of the domain and the hosting for our site. In the end, a very dear friend of mine, lent me the money and therefore safed the situation. However, the payment was done with a delay to the hosts given deadline by two days and that is what caused the long down time. Because I passed the deadline, the site was taken off the net, the domain had to be registered again and that caused the long down time. Luckily, our data were all still on the server and nothing was lost. I am really happy we got such a great host who did not delete our data when we passed the deadline. Though, our hosting is renewed every year and the domain is need to be renewed every two years. I hope, such thing will not happen again to me... *sweats*
[Is Fushichou dead?]
No! We are not dead. But I certainly felt dead for the past half year at least. However, I am not fushichou's only coordinator to handle projects and such. Currently, I am in a depression and lack spirit to pick up editing, scanning and whatsoever. I have just one project I am doing and that is Yononaka at the moment. The one that is pulling fushichou's strings now is mainly my darling little coordinator Jukebox. Gotta love her dearly.

Release!

Welcome to the beginning of August! It's the last month of summer vacation for some, with a new school session beginning in a few weeks.....*hiss boo hiss*

We totally understand. It's very sad. Though, some of us will be more than happy to see record heat leaving soon. 100+ degrees Fahrenheit or 37+ Celsius (depending on which temperature system you follow) is just too damn HOT!!

We're melting!!!!!!!! So, it's time to chill under the shade with the kawaii little devil from Rare Love, and the ultra-cool Choumaru!

Today's Releases
Rare Love extra  - this completes the series....we're pretty sure ^^;
Choumaru vol 2 ch 4 - will Choumaru betray them all? *gasp*

This chapter release of Rare Love is actually chapter 8(ish) from the Chi-ran book Katsuai. It also marks the debut of another new editor for us. She did a fantastical job on it! Give it up for Alienne!!

Rare Love is considered shota, so it's only available from us on the IRC channel. But we'd love to see more people coming to chat on the channel, anyway, so here's a great excuse!!

Remember, comments are love to the hard-working staff. And it always lifts our spirits and inspires more energy to see that love in the form of feedback and comments. *hint*

We're always looking for more Jpn/Chn translators and editors! We especially need addls translators - anyone willing to take a mostly translated script and fill in the sound effects and names, or maybe clear up a sentence or two that may be confusing.

Until next time..... *chu*
